Great sandy beaches
This area has some great sandy beaches with safe swimming and the usual tourist facilities including sunbeds, parasols and small boats for rent. The beach stretches from Can Pastilla to Arenal in all about 4 kilometres. Along the back of the beach it has now been pedestrianised for the bulk of the way and with the added attraction of a cycle path. Many Cafes, beach bars and restaurants are available to keep everyone refreshed. For a great day out visit the beautiful beach of Es Trenc/Ses Covetas. This beach stretches for over seven kilometres and is a selection of small inlets with long sections of soft white powder sand with fantastic aquamarine seas. A great place to take a pic-nic and spend the whole day chilling out. There are a number of beach bars/restaurants dotted along this lovely beach. Certain sections of this beach are popular with nudists.
Activities and Sports
Playa de Palm has numerous sports and water sports available for the visitor. At Arenals Club Nautico it is possible to arrange daily yacht charter with a full crew and including lunch. Theres a number of private companies offering power boats or catamarans for hire/charter, all available with or without skippers. A sailing school which has various small sail boats and a large number of sailboards for rent, as well as offering tuition to all levels from beginners to experts.
There are Dive schools in both Playa de Palma and Palma itself. All schools offer a professional operation with tuition available from beginner to expert.
Horse riding is available from stables situated just inland from the resort and Mallorca is becoming a very popular destination for the growing sport of Cycling. In Playa de Palma it is possible to hire a full range of cycles. Including mountain bikes, leisure cycles for the family to the more advanced racing equipment for the enthusiast. Fully escorted cycle tours are also available subject to demand.
Golf Mallorca
There are many top range Golf courses on the Island of Mallorca. Below are listed a number of courses close to the resort of Playa De Palma. However with the new road systems on the Island it easy easy to reach most of the courses within half an hour.
Maioris.

Son Antem.
Two almost identical coarses, east and west. Both 18 hole courses are always in top condition and are designed for golfers who want to play a relaxing 18 holes with not too many surprises. You'll easily play your handicap. As a reult the play tee times are hard to get a peak times, be sure to book in advance.

The area has a great selection of restaurants for all tastes and budgets. Playa de Palma hotels have visited a number of restaurants in and around the area that have a good reputation and offer value plus quality. However, there are so many to choose from and many new establishments that open every year that once in the resort just ask the locals for recommendations.

A good quality grill restaurant in Playa de Palma offering a mainly meat menu. Good value family restaurant.
"Locanda" Palma.
Top quality Italian Restaurant with a varied menu offering quality meat and fresh fish. Interesting wine list. Mid range prices.
"Tasca De Blanquerna" Palma
Great restaurant within the Fosh chain. Here you can see the chef cooking the food from your table. Changing daily menu with big choice. Affordable prices.
"Rock City" Palma Santa Catalina.
This restaurant offers great food at sensible prices. Has a big following for its amazing Pizza, however offers a good selection of meats and snacks. Good for lunch or dinner with entertainment many evenings. Good value and lively atmosphere.
"Fabrica 23" Palma
Top quality restaurant offering a daily changing menu of fresh fish and meats. The menu is on chalk boards displayed around the restaurant. Lively atmosphere with great service. Mid to high end prices.
"Tast" Palma
Tapas restaurant always busy with locals and offering both Tapas and meals to order. Great food in lively atmosphere thats good for lunch or dinner. Good value menu and fairly priced wine list.
The area of Playa de Palma has a vast choice of bars and clubs for evey taste. In Palma there is a great choice of evening entertainment from street cafes to sophisticated night clubs.
